Music is the poetry of the air - Richter

Saturday March 20th at 7pm - Frankston Uniting Church

The first concert performance of 2010 features much loved classical treasures such as Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, the Gypsy Baron overture by Strauss followed by a movement from Mendelssohn's Violin concerto, a movement of Saint-Saens Violin concerto & two movements of Cimarosa's oboe concerto featuring soloists from the Frankston Symphony Orchestra. This will be an enjoyable evening showcasing the talent of our young local musicians. Conducted by Ingrid Martin

Chorale Concert - Sunday May 30th at 2:30pm - Peninsula Theatre, Wilsons Road, Mornington

The Mornington Peninsula Chorale will perform the famous Gloria by Vivaldi. Te Deum by Holst and Cantique de Jean Racine by Faure to name a few. The concert will feature soprano soloist Siobhan Stagg who sang so wonderfully last year. This year se will be singing the solo pieces as well as Gloria

An Afternoon at the Proms - Sunday August 29th at 2:30pm - Frankston Arts Centre

We continue with our theme of countries around the world will be joined by a local ballet school to perform Tchaikovsky's ballet pieces. The Russian portion of the afternoon will be followed by more traditional British pieces featuring composers such as Grainger, Handel and More. The orchestra will be joined by the Mornington Peninsula Chorale.

Twilight Zone 3 - Saturday November 20th at 7:00pm - Frankston Arts Centre

The FSO's final performance of 2010 will be our much loved movie concert featuring pieces from West Side Story, Kismet, Mary Poppins and lots more. So get your costumes ready and come dressed as your favourite movie character!

Christmas with the Chorale - Thursday December 9th at 7:30pm - Peninsula Theatre, Wilsons Road, Mornington

Once again we look forward to a delightful evening with beautiful Christmas music, wine and nibbles.
